Montblanc Cloud makes it easy to keep your files accessible across devices, wherever you are. From syncing notebooks to sharing files via email, your Digital Paper stays connected through the Montblanc Cloud and Companion App.
What is the Montblanc Cloud?
Montblanc Cloud is a secure cloud storage service built for your Digital Paper. It automatically syncs your files, so you can view and share them through the Companion App or Web App. With your device connected, any edits you make are reflected on the Cloud, giving you access to your most recent work anytime, anywhere.
Signing up for the Montblanc Cloud
You can create a Montblanc Cloud account during the onboarding process or later via your device settings.
To sign up:
Navigate to Settings > Account.
Tap Create an account.
Read and agree to the Privacy Policy.
Fill in your first and last name, email, and a strong password (minimum 10 characters, including upper/lowercase letters, digits, and a special character).
Enter the verification code sent to your email.
Once confirmed, your device will be connected to your Montblanc Cloud account and ready to sync files.
Note: Please note that your device needs to be connected to the internet to be able to create an account or use the Montblanc Cloud.
What can you do with the Montblanc Cloud?
Access files on the go: View your most recent documents via the Companion or Web App.
Send files to your device: Share PDFs or eBooks to your Digital Writing Device by email or through the app.
Secure your data: Even if your device is lost or stolen, your files remain accessible via the Cloud (up to 1 GB)
Syncing your files
Once signed in, your files sync automatically when your device is connected to Wi-Fi. You can recognize syncing activity by the flickering cloud icon on the home screen.
To ensure syncing works:
Confirm your device is connected to both Wi-Fi and Montblanc Cloud.
Look for the cloud and Wi-Fi icons in the top right of your screen.
You can see this icon next to files that are either not present on the cloud or waiting to be synced to the cloud.
This icon shows that the file is currently being synced to the cloud.
Lastly, you receive a brief indication that the file has synced successfully to the cloud.
Note: Please note that it may take up to 5 minutes for changes to appear on the Companion App.
How much storage do I get?
The purchase of a Digital Paper provides you with access to 1 GB of free Montblanc Cloud storage once you create an account. While this may sound small, files on your Digital Writing Device are much lighter than photos or videos, meaning you can store hundreds of documents before nearing the limit.
If you do reach the limit, the Cloud automatically prioritizes your most recently edited files, ensuring your latest work is always accessible.
