Managing your Montblanc Cloud account

Managing your Montblanc Cloud account

Once your Montblanc Cloud Account is set up and paired with your Digital Paper, you can manage your account settings directly from the device. This article covers everything you can do after signing in.

What you can manage

Once signed in, navigate to Settings > Account to access your account controls. Here’s what you can do:

View your account details

  • Montblanc ID: Your unique cloud email address used for syncing and file transfers
  • Name & password: View and update your first name, last name, and password
  • Receive files via email: Turn on this option to allow documents to be sent to your device via email

Enable or disable “Send via email”

When enabled, this feature lets you receive supported documents (PDFs, eBooks) by sending them to your Montblanc Cloud email address.

To enable:

    1. Go to Settings > Account
    2. Toggle on “Send via email”

Your unique email is shown at the top of the screen. Once active, any document sent to this address appears on your home screen shortly after.

Note: We recommend enabling this only when expecting a file to avoid receiving unexpected documents.

Log out of your account

You can unpair your Montblanc Cloud Account at any time. This:

  • Keeps all your files on the device
  • Pauses syncing between your device and the Cloud

Before unpairing, you’ll have the option to manually sync files one last time. Please note that you will be required to enter your password to confirm the unpairing.

Deleting your account

Please be aware that deleting your Montblanc Cloud account is permanent and cannot be undone. It:

  • Removes all your data and usage history from the Montblanc Cloud
  • Does not delete files on your device
  • Prevents future syncing or login with that account

Before deletion, you'll be prompted to sync your most recent edits to the device.

Note: This action cannot be undone.

Account and device pairing

Each Montblanc Cloud Account can only be paired with one device at a time.

If you sign in on a new Digital Paper:

  • Your Cloud files move with you
  • The previous device is unpaired
  • Synced files remain visible on the old device, but no longer sync
