Hyperlinks make it easier to navigate longer PDF documents such as planners, workbooks, research documents, and journals.
Instead of manually flipping through pages, you can jump directly to specific sections within a document with a simple tap. This can help you move more quickly between months, weeks, indexes, or other linked sections of your content.
Montblanc Digital Paper supports hyperlinks in PDF documents that comply with the standard PDF specifications.
A hyperlink can connect one page of a document to another page within the same document. Depending on how the PDF was created, hyperlinks may appear as text, images, buttons, or invisible tap areas.
Please note that hyperlinks are currently limited to navigation within a single document. Links to external websites, other files, or documents stored on your device are not supported.
Using hyperlinks
To activate a hyperlink, simply tap it with your finger. Once a hyperlink is tapped, you will be taken directly to the linked page within the document.
Please note that the Digital Pen is designed for writing and annotating and cannot be used to activate hyperlinks.
After following a hyperlink, you can return to your previous location by tapping the Back button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Some documents may contain a large number of hyperlinks on a single page. In these cases, a swipe gesture may occasionally activate a nearby hyperlink instead of turning the page. If this happens, simply use the Back button to return to your previous location.
The Resources section of the Help Center includes a selection of downloadable planners and workbooks designed to showcase hyperlink navigation.
These documents contain linked sections that let you quickly navigate between pages, making it easy to experience the feature for yourself. To get started, download a planner or workbook from the Resources section and import it to your Montblanc Digital Paper.
If hyperlinks do not work as expected, please check your PDF's specifications. If your PDF does not comply with standard PDF hyperlink specifications, the hyperlinking feature will not work on Digital Paper.
