The Home screen on your Montblanc Digital Paper is the central hub of your device. From here, you can access all your notebooks, documents, and templates, as well as create new content, apply filters, or manage your folders. The home screen is designed to provide a clear overview of your workspace, helping you navigate efficiently without distraction.
Navigating the Home screen
- Swipe up and down to scroll through documents, folders, and tiles. This motion changes the content of the entire page.
- Swipe left and right in specific areas (e.g., ‘Marked’ sections or inside documents, PDFs, and eBooks) to move between pages or content sections. On the home screen, left-right motion is limited to the areas where documents are located.
- Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen as an alternative to swiping for page navigation.
In notebooks, PDFs, or eBooks, swiping left or right navigates between pages. To go to the next page, simply swipe left.
Tip: Pagination allows you to move through content in sections, keeping your layout organized and manageable. It applies across the home screen, notebooks, PDFs, and other supported formats.
Home screen views
You can customize how your files are displayed:
- Grid view: Displays full thumbnails of files. If marked sections are enabled, marked files appear pinned at the top of the screen. This view allows easy identification of documents.
- List view: Provides a compact view with more files displayed at once, showing additional details like file size and last modified date.
Click the icons in the top-right corner to switch between Grid and List view. Your preference will be remembered for future sessions.
Filters
Filters help you focus on specific content:
- Default options include All, Notebooks, Documents, and See more.
- For example, selecting Notebooks hides all other files, while Documents shows only PDF files stored on the home screen.
- See more opens a pop-up with additional filters such as Folders, Notes, Books, or the Paper bin for deleted files.
- The Marked section at the top provides a ‘See all’ option to view all actively marked files.
Note: Filters apply only to the current layer of the home screen. Inside folders or the Paper bin, filters can be applied independently.
Sorting
Sort files using the menu in the top-right corner:
- Recently opened: Files you accessed most recently appear first.
- Last updated: Organizes files based on recent edits, comments, or annotations.
- Alphabetical: Files arranged from A to Z.
- Size: Files arranged from largest to smallest.
To close the sorting pop-up, select an option or tap anywhere outside the menu.
Note: Sorting applies only to the current layer of the home screen. Inside folders or the Paper bin, you can choose a different sorting option.
