Status bar & Control center

The Status bar and Control center on your Montblanc Digital Paper provide key information and quick access to frequently used settings. They allow you to monitor your device’s status, manage connectivity, and adjust essential functions with ease.

Status bar

The status bar is located at the top of your Digital Paper and gives a quick overview of your device's status, including battery levels, connectivity, and time.

  • Battery status: On the left, you can see the battery levels of both your Digital Paper and the Montblanc Digital Pen. If the pen is not connected via Bluetooth, only the device battery is displayed.
  • Charging indicators: When the Digital Pen or device is charging, a small charging icon appears next to the battery status. If no icon is visible, ensure the pen is properly attached to the charging port and the device is connected to a working power outlet.
  • Connectivity icons: On the right side, the status bar displays Wi-Fi and cloud connection icons. If the icons are not visible, your device is not connected. Reconnect via the Control center or Settings.
  • Time: The status bar also reflects the current time. You can adjust the time zone and set the time either automatically or manually through Settings.
Note: The pen battery percentage only appears when it is connected. If not visible, reconnect your pen via Settings.

Control center

The Control center gives you quick access to essential device functions. To open it, swipe down from the top of the screen where the status bar is located.

From the Control Center, you can:

  • Toggle WiFi: Turn your device’s WiFi connection on or off.
  • Enable flight mode: Temporarily disable all wireless connections.
  • Screen rotation: Enable or disable screen rotation. Digital Paper supports 180-degree rotation. Use the rotation lock icon to prevent the screen from rotating when the device orientation changes.
  • Refresh: Clear any ghosting present on your screen. Alternatively, you can also long-press on the top button of your Digital Pen for 2 seconds.
  • Access settings: Open the Settings menu for more advanced options.
Tip: The Control Center provides a quick way to adjust key device functions without leaving the home screen, streamlining everyday tasks.
