Further options with books

Further options with books

Books don’t just allow you to read and annotate; they also offer additional tools accessible from the More options menu in the toolbar. These features give you better control over how you navigate, organize, and personalize your reading experience.

About

Like the summary on a physical book, Books can include an About section within the file.

  • Provides details such as title, author, genre, and summary.
  • Useful for quickly revisiting important metadata about your Book.

The search feature allows you to find exactly what you’re looking for within your Book.

  • Search for text, annotations, or notes.
  • Works with both keyboard input and handwriting recognition.
Tip: If you have many notes in long Books, use search to locate them quickly instead of scrolling manually.

Notes overview

This option provides a consolidated overview of all notes added to your Book.

  • Scroll to browse through notes.
  • Sort them using the available filters.
  • Tap any note to jump directly to its page.

Contents

The table of contents helps you navigate through structured Books.

  • Professional Books often come with a pre-defined index.
  • If the file lacks one, the table will appear empty.

Go to page

Quickly jump to a specific location in your Book.

  • Input or handwrite the page number.
  • Tap GO to navigate directly.

Share

Books can be shared directly from your device.

  • Requires an internet connection and a Montblanc Cloud Account.
  • Enter the recipient’s email to send.
  • Books are shared in their original document format.

Page overview

View all pages of your Book at a glance.

  • Notes are marked with a small icon on thumbnails.
  • Access contents, go to a page, or view notes via the contextual menu.

Book settings

Customize how you read your Book for maximum comfort.

  • Adjust font size and type, margins, and justification.
  • Selected options are highlighted with a checkmark.
  • Tap Apply to confirm changes.
Warning: Changing Book settings will remove all written annotations from all Books on the device. Notes, however, remain saved.

  • A confirmation pop-up appears before changes are finalized.
  • Once removed, annotations cannot be undone.

With these options, Books become more than just digital reading material. You can navigate seamlessly, organize your notes, search effectively, and personalize your reading experience, all while ensuring your annotations and highlights are managed in a way that fits your workflow.
