Montblanc Digital Pen tips
Your Montblanc Digital Pen comes with three interchangeable tips, each offering a distinct writing feel on Digital Paper. By default, the Linen tip is attached to the pen, while the packaging includes two additional tips — Smooth and Matte — stored in a small envelope.
Tip types
The names of the tips reflect the kind of paper-like feel they deliver:
Linen: Provides gentle resistance with a textured feel, making writing precise and deliberate.
Smooth: Offers a fluid, gliding sensation, ideal for natural, effortless strokes.
Matte: Balances speed and control, creating a premium matte-paper experience with tactile feedback.
To find the right match, simply test each one on your device and notice the difference.
How to identify the tip
Each tip carries a subtle marking inside its stem:

Exchanging the tip
Like a pencil, your Digital Pen’s tip naturally wears down with use. Replacing it maintains writing precision, smoothness, and screen protection.
Steps to exchange:
Pull on the existing tip to remove it.
Gently push the replacement tip until it feels secure.
Note: Never write on Digital Paper without a tip attached.
Replacement tips can be purchased at any Montblanc boutique or via Montblanc.com.
