Cleaning your Digital Pen

Cleaning your Digital Pen

To maintain the premium finish of your Montblanc Digital Pen and ensure its longevity, it is important to follow the correct cleaning procedure. The pen is coated with a clear topcoat lacquer, which provides a refined surface but requires gentle care.

What to avoid

Do not use solvent-based cleaners such as isopropanol or acetone, as these can damage the lacquer coating and compromise the finish.

Use a mild water-based detergent solution — for example, a drop of dish soap diluted in water — applied with a soft microfiber cloth. Ensure the cloth is damp, not overly saturated, to prevent water from entering the pen.

Material consideration

The pen surface is finished with a clear topcoat lacquer. This material responds best to gentle cleaning with non-abrasive cloths and mild detergents. Avoid rough fabrics or excessive pressure, as they may cause micro-scratches on the lacquer.
