Booting up your device

Booting up your device

Before you start writing, here’s how to charge, turn on, and connect your Digital Paper and Digital Pen for the first time.

Charging your Digital Paper and Digital Pen

The device comes partially charged. However, if it has been in storage for a certain period of time, the battery may need a moment to recover.

To charge:

  • Plug the USB-C cable into the bottom left edge of the device
  • Connect the other end to a compatible power source
  • The screen indicates when charging begins
Note: If the battery is fully depleted, it can take up to 2 minutes for the power icon to appear. During this time, pressing the button has no effect. This delay is normal and ensures an accurate battery reading.

Pairing and charging the Digital Pen

The pen connects and charges wirelessly.

  • Attach the pen to the magnetic leather notch on the left side of the device
  • It snaps into place, charges, and connects automatically
  • Keeping the pen stored here maintains its charge
Note: Please always keep your Digital Pen charged on the leather bar when not in use.

Turning Digital Paper on or off

To power on Digital Paper, press and hold the top-left button for two seconds.

The screen lights up, and the onboarding process begins.

To lock or turn off:

  • Short-press to lock the screen
  • Press and hold → tap Power off to shut down
