The Montblanc Companion App allows you to view, search, and share files stored in your Montblanc Cloud Account. These capabilities make it easy to manage and interact with your files on the go.
To view a file, simply tap on it from the app’s home screen. You can navigate through pages by swiping left or right. You can access the contents of Notebooks, Quick Notes, and PDFs, including any annotations you have added.
Please note that changes to files can only be made directly from the Digital Paper device. eBooks cannot be read within the Companion App; they are downloaded and need to be opened in a third-party application. Only files that were bookmarked on Digital Paper appear as bookmarked in the Companion App.
To return to the Home screen, tap the back arrow button.
Files in your Montblanc Cloud Account can be shared directly from the Companion App.
From within a file: Open the file you want to share, then select the share icon. A menu appears similar to sharing photos or other content on your mobile device. Choose your preferred method, such as email, and follow the on-screen instructions.
From the home screen: Long-tap on a file to open a Contextual menu at the bottom right. Select the share icon and choose your preferred method of sharing.
Files shared from your Digital Paper are always sent as PDFs, except for eBooks, which are shared in their original ePub format. In the web app, clicking the share button automatically downloads the file for further sharing.
You can search for files from two locations within the Companion App:
Search allows you to find files by title. Simply type your keyword in the input field at the top, and any matching files will be displayed below.
Note: Please note that Search is limited to document titles and does not search within the content of the files.
